Marketing is a term that is often used by many businesses. It IS a key part of our business structure. Businesses that satisfy the needs of customers and build relationships with their customers will do well in the long term. Please discuss marketing from a ‘creating a relationship’ perspective.

  1. Considering that people’s lives are ‘crazy’ and busy, how can a retail store (bricks and motor) compete with an on-line store (especially when prices are mostly the same or even a little lower in the electronic store)?
  2. Please develop a new product. It can be a new technology, cell phone, food industry, automobile industry, etc. It does not have to be highly technological. Identify the new product’s target market and how the new product will be marketed
  3. Explain the target consumer for each of the following products/businesses. How would you best promote that product/business to the target? Please feel free to do a little research on any of these businesses (to help you prepare your answer).
  4. Supermarket featuring organic foods
  5. A bed and breakfast in Cape May New Jersey
  6. Car Detailing Shop
  7. The product life cycle is a powerful tool for marketers. It shows how a product evolves over time. It also shows how a product needs to evolve with a customer. Please discuss the product life cycle in terms of how the different stages. Please be sure to discuss the impact price during each stage of the Product Life Cycle.
