Start by finding the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS or now called SDS) for your chemical. Also, you can find a wealth of information by looking up your chemical of choice here: http://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/
In your discussion, include
1) What is the route of exposure for this chemical and the duration of the exposure needed for toxicity?
2) Is it a carcinogen, teratogen, xenobiotic or all three? Define the terms in your response.
3) What is the LD50 of this chemical? How was this determined?
4) What is the dose and threshold of this chemical in order to be toxic?
5) Give an example of a chemical that would cause one of the following if mixed with the chemical you chose: potentiation, coalitive interaction, antagonism.
6) How would you conduct a human exposure assessment for this chemical (describe one of the possible methods given in your text)?
