Your group is to select five (5) theories/hypotheses/models/frameworks from the list provided on Blackboard that are associated with leadership communication. Once the group has selected the
five leadership terms, your group will explore the origination of each theory/hypothesis/model/
framework selected. In addition to finding the origination (original or an early use of the idea in scholarly research), the group will provide a new or synthesized definition of the term based on the other sources. That is you will synthesize other definitions that have been used in the research articles explored and create a definition that employs the various elements of the existing articles’ definitions in to a new and concise definition. In addition to creating a ‘new’ definition, each term will need 5 scholarly references (peerreviewed) and annotated bibliographies that explain where and how the term has been used before. One of the annotated bibliographies should be for the original or earliest source found, the other 4 bibliographies should highlight the ways in which the term has been used or developed. Each bibliography is worth 2 points and should be between 4-6 sentences explaining briefly the background of the study or analysis, what type of method was employed to conduct the research, the findings of the article, and the value of this article in line with other research or general application. The text (Hackman & Johnson) does not count as a source, however, you are welcome to use the text to locate other scholarly articles or texts. This project requires research and references, so an early start is recommended. While there will not be APA formatting for the document itself, the references for each of the sources employed should be provided in APA format. Additionally, any direct quotes or clear paraphrases in the annotated bibliography should be cited using APA.
